Mr. Chris Henry Hale born August 28, 1943 departed this life on Saturday June 1, 2013 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY being 69-years, 9-months, and 3-days of age at the time of his passing. Chris was born in Beckley, West Virginia the son of the late Curtis Hale and the late Helen Brown Hale. Chris Spent six years as a Radioman-Seaman in the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Waller. After an honorable discharge, he worked at National Geographic in Washington D.C. before being called into the Ministry. Chris was a Nazarene Minister for many years and was blessed to see many souls saved. Most recently, Chris was a Counselor at the ARH Psychiatric Center in Hazard. Chris had a Ministry of Caring for others, and touched many lives during his years at the ARH.
Mr. Chris Henry Hale leaves the following relatives surviving: Wife – Brenda Hale of Christopher, KY; One Son – Jeffrey Hale of Broadhead, Wisconsin; Two Daughters – Christina Blakney of Shepherdsville, KY and Melissa Gore of Louisville, KY; One Sister – Paula Dalton of Christopher, KY; Two Step Children – Shawn and Derek Hogle both of Louisville, KY; Six Grandchildren, Four Step Grandchildren, Two Nephews – Greg and Curtis Smith, Lifetime Friend – Robert Kessler, Special Friend – Jim Smith, and a host of other Relatives, Friends and Coworkers Survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Chris Henry Hale will be conducted on Tuesday June 4, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. Pete McGee and Rev. James Hamblin officiating. The Interment will follow in the Francis Branch Cemetery located at Jeff, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Monday Evening from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M.
