Adrian Bruce Rogers "Bruce" of Hazard, Kentucky passed away on Friday January 5, 2024 at the age of 63. Bruce was a graduate of M.C. Napier High School in 1978 and received his BS from Eastern Kentucky University. Bruce worked as a Senior Geologist for the Army Corps of Engineers for the last 7 years, where he also served as the Vice Chairman for the Nashville Chapter of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists.
Bruce was passionate about many things and was an avid fan of Michigan Wolverines football, Detroit Tigers baseball, and Kentucky Wildcats basketball.
Bruce had many talents. He was an accomplished geologist, an excellent motorcycle rider, a great writer, a loving brother and uncle, and most of all an amazing father. He coached youth baseball for his daughter's teams, taught environmental science education courses for his daughter's school, and he served as judge for the annual science fairs and performed environmental presentations for the annual Earth Day and Career Day events.
Bruce loved the mountains, riding his motorcycles, and spending time with his dog, Jasey, and his daughter, Adrianne. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Opal Rogers; sister, Billie Rogers. Bruce is survived by his daughter, Adrianne; sister, Vickie, brother-in-law, Mike; nephew, Zack; his dog, Jasey, and many beloved friends. GO BLUE!
Visitation for Adrian Bruce Rogers will be conducted on Friday January 12, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday January 12, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with R.T. Barker officiating. The Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery located at Hazard, Kentucky. The following will serve as Pallbearers, Tim Barker, John Begley,
Wade Begley, Aric Martin, David Sizemore, Brad Smith; Honorary Pallbearers, Zack Strange and Mike Strange.
