There's not enough paper to write all the amazing things that can be said about the woman over whom we are mourning. Anna worked as a bookkeeper, and she made so many friends through the years. One of those friends, she proudly called her best friend, Darlene Howard, who became a big part of our family. Anna had the most unselfish love to give, she was the most self-sacrificing person, hardworking, determined, generous, caring, spiritual, talented, big-hearted and so much more. She gave up her wants of having a family of her own to care for her mother and her "daddy Ray" as well as her two baby sisters at that time, Julie and Jennifer. Anna was one of Jehovah's Witness, serving him devoutly.

She came to learn and appreciate and love her God Jehovah at a very young age and through her study of the Bible and by her own personal decision she dedicated her life to Jehovah God at the age of 14, on February 15th, 1974. Her faith and love continued to grow over the 50 years of dedication. She always shared with others what she could about the promises and hopes that she had learned from the Bible, especially, with her family and close friends. Even though we are all very crushed by Anna's passing, she would want us to remember that just as our Lord Jesus said of Lazarus she has "fallen asleep" in death and soon she will be awakened and will enjoy her hope of everlasting life and seeing all her dreams come true.

Anna loved to cook; she was about the only one who could master the way our mother made homemade biscuits among other things. She loved to sew, enjoy all the beauty in creation, never afraid to try different foods, she loved music, especially that of George Strait. She was known to so many people for her warm and generous hugs, not only in Hazard but in many other states across the country. The list could go on and on of all the wonderful things she enjoyed and loved and did for others; so, if you were fortunate enough to know her, then you can understand these words. Thank you, Anna Marie, for being you and for being our sister, aunt, friend, and our everything!!
