Anna Mae Kilburn born April 13, 1929 departed this life on Tuesday September 12, 2023 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 94-years old.  Anna was born in Delphia, Kentucky the daughter of the late Watson E. Adams and the late Emma Gross Adams.  Other than her parents, Anna was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Kilburn, Jr.; three brothers, Victor Lee Adams, J.D. Adams, and Benny Adams; sister, Lavonna Snell.  Anna was a teacher by occupation, she started out in a one room school house and ended up with 34-years old total service.  Anna was an avid quilter, she loved working in her flowers, gardening, crocheting, traveling, fishing, and especially loved her time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Anna Mae Kilburn leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: son, Karl Kilburn & Janice of Paris, KY; daughter, Emily Trent & Gregory of Delphia, KY; brother, Bentley Adams & Marlene of Floyd Knobs, IN; grandchildren, Kristy Lynn Carter & John of Paris, Salena Joann Hurter & John Louis of Paris, Anna Marie Baker & Greg of Hazard, Kendel Lane Collins & William of Sassafras, and Ryan Trent & Leidy of Dumfries, VA; 10-great grandchildren, a host of special family members, and other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral services for Anna Mae Kilburn will be conducted on Saturday September 16, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Big Leatherwood First Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Williams and Danny Dixon officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Whitaker-Gross Cemetery located at Delphia, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Big Leatherwood First Baptist Church on Friday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.
