Arthur Shepherd born January 16, 1946 departed this life on Monday February 24, 2025 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 79-years old.  Arthur was a retired coal miner and loved gardening, beekeeping, and spending time with his family.  Arthur was born in Lynn Fork the son of the late Farmer & Rebecca Shepherd.  Other than his parents, Arthur was also preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Shepherd; sisters, Leonia Baker, Darkies Crase, and Kimberly Pace.

Arthur Shepherd leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 58 years, Barbara Shepherd of Cornettsville, KY; daughter, Ruth Eldridge & Michael of Cornettsville, KY; son, Anthony Shepherd & Pam of North Wilkesboro, NC; 3-grandsons, Jarrett Eldridge & Annie, Alex Eldridge & Vanessa, and Nathan Shepherd; 2-great grandchildren, Zane Eldridge and Lainey Eldridge; brother, Alonzo Shepherd & Goldie; 3-sisters, America Holbrook, Alice Campbell & Fred, and Maudie Baker; also a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Arthur Shepherd will be conducted on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Big Leatherwood First Baptist Church at Delphia, Kentucky with Pastor Eddie Williams officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Stoney Fork Cemetery located at Delphia, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Big Leatherwood First Baptist Church at Delphia, Kentucky on Friday February 28. 2025 after 6:00 P.M.
