Berna Dean Jones born February 7, 1950 departed this life on Wednesday – September 16, 2026 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 76-years old. Berna Dean was born in Bonnyman, Kentucky the daughter of the late Bob & Mollie Hurt. Other than her parents, Berna Dean was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Hurt and Wathan Hurt. Berna Dean was a faithful member of the Second Creek Church of God, she was a devoted mother & grandmother, loved her Lord and Savior and spending time with her family, friends and church family.

Berna Dean Jones leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: husband, Carl Jones of Bonnyman, KY; son, Bobby Howard & Missy of Grapevine, KY; daughter, Paula Collins & Merill David of Bonnyman, KY; and son, Paul Howard & Tonya of Jackson, KY; brother, Earl Hurt & Kathy of Avawam, KY; grandchildren, Alesha, Danny, Amanda, Jesse, Chelsea, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Ava, Brody, Sawyer, Allie Jane, Meredith, Skylar, Christian, Holden, Tucker, and Henry; also a host of other relatives, friends, and church family survives. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center for their love and support throughout her sickness.

Visitation for Berna Dean Jones will be held on Friday – September 18, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M. Funeral Services will follow immediately on Friday at 12:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor Merill David Collins officiating. The Interment will follow in the Our Loved Ones Cemetery located at Lower Second Creek in Bonnyman, Kentucky.
