Bernadette Smith born March 1, 1946 departed this life on Friday January 10, 2025 at her residence in Dwarf, Kentucky being 78 years old. Bernadette was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Adam Fugate and the late Norma Combs and Judy Shepherd Fugate. Other than her parents, Bernadette was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Mitchell Smith; one daughter, Tommi Michelle Smith. Bernadette loved her job, reading and caring for her fur babies.

Bernadette Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: one daughter, Kimberly Estep & James of Dwarf; brother, Jimmy Darrell Combs & Teresa of Nashville, TN; sister, Linda Mullins & Bernie of Ligonier, IN; grandsons, Derrick Gene Patrick and Tommy Dawson Patrick; fur babies, Izzy and Minnie. A host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Bernadette Smith will be conducted on Wednesday January 15, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 12:00 till 1:00 P.M. The Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery located at Ary, Kentucky.
