Bertha Young born May 24, 1934, departed this life on Sunday – November 16, 2025, at the Hazard A.R.H. being 91-years old.  Bertha was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Milford Young and the late Elizabeth Eddington Young.  Other than her parents, Bertha was also preceded in death by two sons, Archie Lee Joseph, and David Joseph; seven brothers, Vollie, Jasper, Howard, Bill, Jesse, Orville and Arsel; four sisters, Suda Hamons, Armilda Turner, Faye Reynolds and Lucy Stallard.  Bertha was a life-long resident of Perry County and enjoyed cooking & canning.

Bertha Young leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: children, Bobby Ray Joseph & Merkie, Larry Joseph & Gracie, Gary Joseph & Muriel, Debra Dillion, and Dorothy Jones & Louie; brother, Arthur Young; sister, Gladys Abelle; 14-grandchildren, 20-great grandchildren, 1-great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation for Bertha Young will be held on Tuesday – November 18, 2025, at the Middlefork Church of Christ in Viper, Kentucky from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will follow on Wednesday – November 19, 2025, at the Middlefork Church of Christ at 12:00 P.M. with Karl Baker & Billy Joe Lewis officiating.  The Interment will follow in the John Q. Adams Cemetery located at Viper, Kentucky,
