Bessie Mae White born October 13, 1938 departed this life on Thursday August 15, 2024 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center being 85-years old.  Bessie was born in Perry County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Bernice Miller and the late Clercy Gwin Clemons.  Other than her parents, Bessie was also preceded in death by her husband, Hargis White; sons, Donnie Neace and Stanley Neace; daughter, Joy White; brothers, Ira J. Hughes and Bernice Miller, Jr.; sisters, Janet Miller and Gladys Miller.  Bessie enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening and canning.  Bessie was a member of the Grapevine Old Regular Baptist Church, and loved being a mother and grandmother to her family and always enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.

Bessie Mae White leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: sons, Gary Neace & Melissa of Hazard and Larry Neace & Jackie of Bonnyman; daughters, Linda D. McGurk & Steven of Liberty Township, Ohio, Diana Kolb & Buddy of Greeneville, TN and Vanessa Ozan & Randy of Nicholasville, KY; brothers, Morrow Miller of Tenmile and Ronnie Clemons & Martha of Tenmile; special cousin, Robert Combs of Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren, Terri Combs, Jeff Neace, James McGurk, Brent McGurk, Patrick McGurk, Joshua Fugate, Matthew Fugate, and Esther Ozan; six great-grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Bessie Mae White will be held on Friday evening at the County Line Community Church from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the County Line Community Church with Pastor Anthony Mullins and Bill Gamble officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Old Grigsby Cemetery located at Tenmile.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bluegrass Care Navigators at 101 Dennis Sandlin MD Cove – Hazard, Kentucky 41701.
