Blake Hurt *U.S. Army Veteran* born September 24, 1951 departed this life on Friday – March 20, 2026 being 74-years old.  Blake was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Alonzo Hurt and the late Juanita Francis Hurt.  Other than his parents, Blake was also preceded in death by his wife, Nita Lynn Hurt and son, Nathan Hurt.

Blake Hurt leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: daughters: Chandra Turner of Whitesburg, Juanita Adams of Hazard, and Elizabeth Holland of Hazard; son, Blake Hurt, Jr. of Hazard; grandchildren: Nathan & Tyler Hurt and a host of other grandchildren and other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Blake Hurt will be conducted on Tuesday – March 24, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Chris Sale officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Collins Family Cemetery located in Letcher County.  The Visitation will be held on Monday evening at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  Military Rites will be conducted by the Hazard-Perry County D.A.V. Chapter #64.
