Bobby Baker age 70 of Chavies, died December 16, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. Bobby was a devoted husband to his wife Betty of 48 years. He loved her until his last breath. A loving father and a proud papaw.

Bobby enjoyed the simpler things in life, he enjoyed sitting on his front porch waving at his friends as they passed by. He was a good neighbor and friend to all. There was nothing more important to Bobby than his family. Every moment he was able he spent with them. He loved being around people and he would often talk about his younger days, old cars and doing the right things in life. He was an old soul. He loved his grandsons, spending time with them. He looked forward to watching his great grandson grow up. Bobby leaves an honorable legacy behind.

Bobby is survived by his Wife, Betty Baker of Chavies, KY; Children, Bobby Wayne Baker (Randy) of Bristol, VA, Dorothy West (Bobby) of Chavies, KY; Grandchildren, Dalton West & Mason West; Great-Grandson, Greyson Short; 2 Sisters, Anna Mae Cook of AL, Annette Baker (Fletch) of Chavies, KY; 2 Brothers, James (Elbert) Baker & Katrina of Chavies, KY, Jimmy Baker & Bertha of Butler, KY. Preceding in death: Parents, Brown & Dorothy Baker; Three Brothers, Douglas Wayne Baker, Earl Baker & David Baker; 1 Sister, Shirley Baker. A Host of nieces, nephews, and many friends survive. Special Friends. (Jerri & Mike Sweet), Ollie Jean Johnson & the girls, Ima Jean Thorpe & Tammy.

Visitation for Bobby Baker will be held on Thursday evening at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday December 20, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. with Ken Miller officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery at Chavies, Kentucky.
