Boyd Whitaker born July 22, 1960 departed this life on Sunday July 23, 2023 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 63-years old.  Boyd was born in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late Jack Whitaker and the late Dixie Minix Whitaker.  Other than his parents, Boyd was also preceded in death by Two Sisters, Mary Whitaker and Marsha Whitaker; Brother, Floyd Whitaker; Nephew, Ryan Whitaker; Paternal Grandparents, Joe & Callie Whitaker; Maternal Grandparents, Earn & Myrtle Minix.  Boyd was a former dispatcher for Perry County 911, and enjoyed traveling, cooking, and family gatherings.

Boyd Whitaker leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Brother, Jesse Whitaker & Lavonna of Grapevine; Sister, Patricia Whitaker & Joe of Grapevine; Niece, Daniqua Whitaker; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Boyd Whitaker will be conducted on Friday July 28, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with A.J. Miller officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery located at Grapevine, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.
