Brenda Gail Morris Colwell born July 12, 1952 departed this life on Friday June 23, 2023 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 70-years old.  Brenda was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Denver & Seba Morris.  Brenda was a lifetime member of the Yerkes Baptist Church, where she served as Secretary & Treasurer for many years.  Brenda was a retired Postmaster at the Yerkes Post Office, and a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend.

Brenda Gail Morris Colwell leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Husband of 52 plus years, Lloyd Colwell of Yerkes; Son, Michael Lloyd Colwell of Kewadin, Michigan; Daughter, Crystal Gail Couch & Paul Brack of Yerkes; Two Granddaughters, Crystiana Brackelle Couch and Shyanne Elizabeth Couch of Yerkes; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Brenda Gail Morris Colwell will be conducted on Tuesday June 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Nathaniel Collins, Teddy Bailey, and Kenny Smith officiating.  The Interment will follow in the James Hamblin Cemetery at Campbell's Creek.  The Visitation will be on Monday evening at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M.
