Burley Ray Smith born September 15, 1983 departed this life on Saturday – March 22, 2025 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center being 41-years old.  Burley was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Deborah Collins and the late Roger Dean Sumner.  Other than his father, Burley was also preceded in death by two brothers, David Shawn Sumner & Randall White; sister-in-law, Leigh Ann Sumner.  Burley loved music, TV, any kind of lights, his food, and Little Debbie Cakes.

Burley Ray Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: parents, Jimmy & Deborah Collins; brothers, Verlin Sumner & Leslea, William Collins, and Jimmy Collins; sisters, Jamie Engle & Wayne, and Tina Beverly; also a host of nieces, nephews, and a great nephew and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Burley Ray Smith will be conducted on Thursday – March 27, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. with Jason Smith and David Smith officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Sumner Family Cemetery at George's Branch.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
