Burton Griffin born March 12, 1930 departed this life on Tuesday February 25, 2025 at his residence in Florence, Indiana being 94-years old.  Burton was born in Gilboa, West Virginia the son of the late Arch Griffin and the late Mary Ann Taylor Griffin.  Other than his parents, Burton was also preceded in death by his wife, Rhoda Griffin; son, Daniel Griffin, and a host of brothers & sisters.  Burton loved tinkering on trucks, tractors, cars and mowers.  He loved his walks in the woods, and was a longtime Golden Eagle member of the N.R.A.

Burton Griffin leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: son, Douglas Griffin & Pamela of Florence, IN; grandchildren, Wendy Layton & Jim of Westport, IN, Jessica Bruns & Christopher of Clarksville, TN and Rachel Seal & Gregory of Florence, IN; great-grandchildren, Luke May & Teara of Westport, IN, Madelynn Bruns of Clarksville, TN, Kensley Bruns of Clarksville, TN and Henry Bruns of Clarksville, TN; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Burton Griffin will be conducted on Sunday March 2, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Nathaniel Collins officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Hamblin Family Cemetery located at Krypton, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday March  2, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
