Carla Jeanette Combs Jones born March 21, 1962 departed this life on Wednesday – July 15, 2026 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center being 64-years old.  Carla was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Everett Bo Combs and the late Betty Jo Maxine Combs.  Other than her parents, Carla was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Jones; son, Michael Wayne Combs Jones; brother, Jimmy Dean Combs.  Carla was family oriented, she had a big heart and loved her family & friends dearly, she loved to cook and spend time with her family.  Carla was outgoing, always willing to help, she had loving kindhearted spirit and was always willing to give everyone a good laugh.  Carla took great pride in her job at Mutt Cutts, she loved caring for all the animals.

Carla Jeanette Combs Jones leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: daughter, Heather Jones of Hazard, KY; son, Kadin Burkhead of Hazard, KY; brother, Terry Combs & Connie of Vicco, KY; sisters, Daphine Feltner of Hazard, KY, Angelia York & Larry of London, KY and Chasity Combs & Scott Moore of Hazard, KY; special friends, Bob Buyan of Billings, Montana, Charlotte Phyllips of Georgia and Trisha Gooch of Georgia; also a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation will be held for Carla Jeanette Combs Jones on Friday – July 24, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.  Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Chad Campbell officiating.  The Interment will be at the Bill Hill Cemetery located at Jeff, Kentucky.
