Carlos Ray "Hatchet" Adams born August 10, 1949 departed this life on Sunday October 16, 2022 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 73-years old. Carlos was born at Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Arville Adams and the late Alpha Jane Hall. Other than his parents, Carlos was also preceded in death by his Sisters, Lottie Sue Smith, and Lois Eldridge; Brother, Roger Adams. Carlos enjoyed fishing and hunting. After retiring Carlos was an avid quilter for 16 years and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Carlos was a Member of the Arts of the Mountain for 16 years.

Carlos Ray "Hatchet" Adams leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife of 53-years, Barbara Adams of Viper; Two Daughters, Kimberley Lynn Callahan & Clemmie Arnold of Viper, Melissa Collins & Ben of Leburn, KY; Grandchildren, Specialist Tyler Lewis of Georgetown, KY, Kirsten Adora Callahan of Viper, Kailyn Collins of Leburn, KY, Brenley Collins of Leburn, KY; Two Sisters, Shirley Dixon of Leatherwood, Wanda Ison & Tot of Leatherwood; Beloved Dog, Eben James. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Carlos Ray "Hatchet" Adams will be conducted on Thursday October 20, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. B.J. Campbell officiating. The Interment will follow in the Arch Halcomb Cemetery located at Little Leatherwood, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00 till 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Perry County Animal Shelter.
