Carol Elizabeth "Bess" Noyes born July 18, 1953 departed this life on Monday – March 2, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky being 72-years old.  Bess was born in Perry County the daughter of the late Solomon Gross and the late Rushie Wooton Gross.  Other than her parents, Bess was also preceded in death by her Sister, Shirley McDaniels and Brother, James "Bimbo" Gross.

For 56 years God  blessed James with the love and companionship of a dear lady.  Words can not give justice to the life that she lived.  Twenty years at the nursing home caring for those who could not help themselves.  She mourned the passing of each one of them when God called them home.  She often told James that she believed this to be her calling from God.   She loved her God and her family with a unselfish love and has been a Christian for over 45 years, a dedicated member of the Church of Christ.  She was the mother of three wonderful children, 5 grandchildren and one little great grandchild.  In all of those that she came in contact with loved her, because of her concern for their well being and realized she truly cared for them with genuine love that flowed from the heart.  Bess loved camping, fishing and sitting in the sun on a beautiful warm day and reading her Bible.

Many will miss her, but will never forget her

On March 2nd God called her home.  Rest in Peace little angel, we will all see you again very soon.

Bess Noyes leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Husband of 56-years: James Noyes of Busy; Daughters: Renee Fields & Shannon of Busy and Melissa Baker & Brackie of Georgetown, KY; Son: Timothy James Noyes & Shannon of Busy; Three Brothers: Lonnie Gross & Maxine of Busy, Larry Gross & Jolyn of Hazard, and Brant Gross & Jackie of Hazard; Grandchildren: Britany, Alex, Mikhayla, Emmett, Adam, and Kainen; Great-Granddaughter: Eliza June; Special Nieces: Kathy & Karen; Special Great-Niece: Tracy; Special Friend: Maxine; Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Carol Elizabeth "Bess" Noyes will be conducted on Friday – March 6, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Everett Spencer and Larry Gross officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Noyes Family Cemetery located at Busy, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.
