C.C. Woods born July 21, 1934 departed this life on Saturday November 16, 2024 at his residence in Viper, Kentucky being 90-years old.  C.C. was born in Viper, Kentucky the son of the late Benny Woods and the late Myrtle Woods.  Other than his parents, C.C. was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Wade Woods; brothers, Albert Woods and Vogal Woods; sister, Delma Morgan and two infant sisters.  C.C. was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, loved woodworking, fishing, hunting, gardening and most of all spending time with his family.

C.C. Woods leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 63-years, Sandra Woods of Viper, KY; son, Gillis Lorne Woods of Winchester, KY; daughters, Teresa Dalane Woods of Lexington, KY and Tamara Elaine Woods of Viper, KY; sister, Wilna Amburgey of Ohio; also a host of special nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for C.C. Woods will be held on Tuesday November 19, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.   Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. with Karl Baker officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Coe Evans Cemetery located at Viper, Kentucky.  Military Rites will be performed by the Hazard-Perry County D.A.V. Chapter #64.
