Charles C. Collins

Charles C. Collins born November 30, 1940 departed this life on Wednesday – August 19, 2026, at his residence in Hazard, Kentucky being 85-years old. Charles was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Ray Collins and the late Opsie Collins. Other than his parents Charles was also preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Collins, Jimmy Collins and Bobby Collins; one sister, Vola Delores Collins.Charles was devoted member of the Maple Street Church of God for 65 Years, where he served in many various roles such as, adult and youth Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Treasurer and drove the Church Bus. Charles was a faithful Christian, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Charles C. Collins leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 65 years, Peggy Collins of Hazard, Kentucky; son, Carl Collins & Barbara of Hazard, KY; daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Inserra of Hazard, Kentucky; brother, Johnny Collins & Kathy of Hazard, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; also a host of nieces, nephews, church family and many other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Charles C. Collins will be held on Friday – August 21, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Smith and Pastor Merill David Collins officiating. The Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery located at Hazard, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maple Street Church of God Food Pantry at P.O.
