Charles Luther Deaton born May 6, 1953 departed this life on Monday January 1, 2024 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 70-years old.  Charles was born in Covington, Kentucky the son of the late Charles Luther Deaton, Sr. and the late Zola Canada Deaton.  Other than his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by three sisters, Teresa, Patricia and Betty; two brothers, Mike and Tommy; step-son, Little John.  Charles loved westerns and watching tv, enjoyed playing his guitars, and loved his dogs dearly.

Charles Luther Deaton leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife, Margaret "Bugs" Deaton of Krypton, KY; step-daughter, Tina Jo Richardson & Todd of Winchester, KY; grandson, Pete Combs of Knott County; granddaughter, Amber Combs of Winchester, KY; three great-grandchildren, Silas, Savannah, Skylar; brothers, Tony Deaton of Indiana and Jerry Deaton & Esther of Indiana; sister, Mary George of Indiana; sister-in-laws, Mary Holland of Bonnyman and Almeta Stamper of Winchester, KY; brother-in-law, Reese Howard Stamper of Winchester, KY; special nephew, James "Buckwheat" Stidham; also a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Charles Luther Deaton will be conducted on Friday January 5, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will follow on Saturday January 6, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Carl Wayne Johnson officiating.  The Interment will follow in Irvine, Kentucky.
