Charlotte Gail Combs born February 23, 1963 departed this life on Sunday December 1, 2024 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 61 years old. Gail was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Walter Couch, Jr. and the late Maxine Terry Couch. Other than her parents, Gail was also preceded in death by her husband, William Michael Combs. Gail had a passion for Early Childhood Education and has impacted thousands of families throughout her career with L.K.L.P Head Start.

Charlotte Gail Combs leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: sons, Michael Combs & Lauren of Columbia, S.C., Scott Combs of Columbia, S.C.; brothers, Michael Couch of Busy, Jess Thomas of Busy; sister, Sheila Stidham of Jackson, KY; the families of special nieces,Tosha Willis and Kasey Owens; special friends, Mona Napier, Theresa Strunk, Deedra Mullins, Lillie Mae Stidham, Crystal Baker; grandchildren, Alestria Combs and Rylan Turner; fur babies, Harley and Lucky who were her pride and joy; the entire L.K.L.P Head Start community.

Visitation for Charlotte Gail Combs will be conducted on Friday December 6, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday December 7, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Duval Sims officiating. The Interment will follow in the Feltner Cemetery located at Busy, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations towards the funeral expenses.
