Mr. Chester Jones born April 27, 1944 departed this life on Thursday April 7, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky being 71-years, 11-months, and 10-days old. Chester was born in Perry County the Son of the late Ashford Jones and Mable Rye Jones. Other than his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his Brother-In-Law, Wallace Napier. Chester was a 1963 graduate of M.C. Napier High School, and later went to Sue Bennett College, where he played Basketball, and Union College also. He was a Teacher and Basketball Coach at Combs Elementary School, a Kentucky State Representative for two years, and Circuit Court Clerk for many years, serving from 1975-2000. He taught one year at M.C. Napier High School, and also Combs Grade School, Summer School at Buckhorn. In recent years Chester was known as the Pizza Man by many, having owned several pizza locations. He never saw a stranger and was an extremely generous man, always thankful for his friends and family. He always expressed his gratitude with "I appreciate you". Chester was a Member of the Berea Church of Christ.

Mr. Chester Jones leaves the following relatives surviving: Sister, Linda Jones Napier of Berea, KY; Nephew, Brad Napier of Berea, KY; Niece, Beverly Gaylord & Sam of Louisville, KY; Great-Nephew, Will Napier of London, KY, and a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Chester Jones will be conducted Sunday April 10, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on East Main Street with John Delpont and Scott Pena officiating. The Interment will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery located at Lost Creek. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-3 P.M. In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
