Clyde Willis Herald, 58 years old of Combs, Kentucky left this life peacefully holding the hand of his soulmate Mae, on March 16, 2022. Clyde was born to Willis and Bessie on February 20 th , 1964. He married Mae on April 7 th , 1984. Together they built a beautiful life with 3 children and 8 grandchildren here, and one grandchild born in Heaven. Clyde was the rock for his family, he loved and provided for us all.
Clyde went on to his next life to be reunited with his sons, Clarence and Felix, his parents, Willis and Bessie, his brother Wayne, his father in law, Jess, his brother in laws, Donald and Willie, his sister in law, Lula, and to hold the grandchild he never got to in this life.
Clyde leaves behind many loved ones to cherish and rejoice in his memory. He leaves his wife and the love of his life, Mae, his daughter Adna (Johnathan), the grandchildren that made him soft, Joshua, Madison, Macie, Willie, Parker, Conner, Kevin, and Gunner, his forever daughter in laws, Lori Beth (Mike), and Lori Michelle ( James); He also leaves behind 3 brothers, Harold (Marla), James (Karen), and Felix (Anna Faye), 3 sisters, Carol Sue (Donald), Ruthie (Donnie), and Hazel (Glenn); He leaves behind the mother in law he loved dearly, Adna, and all of his sister in laws and brother in laws from Mae's side of his family. He would also want mentioned he had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that were very special to him. Clyde was the type of man to put his family first all the way to the end.
Clyde would've wanted and his family would like to say some special thanks to some of those that participated in his care over the years, his doctor and friend Dr. John Gilbert and his staff, the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care (so many of you were special to him), the staff at Dr. Caudill's dental office, the staff at UK ER especially nurse Stephanie, and a special thanks to Amanda Barker, RN, who was one of the last people to provide comfort to Clyde and Mae before he left this world.
Clyde will be missed dearly by all that got to know him. We love you always.
Funeral Services for Clyde Willis Herald will be conducted on Sunday March 20, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor Merill David Collins officiating. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M.
