Dani Howard Baker

Dani Howard Baker born August 10, 1965 departed this life on Wednesday – September 2, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky being 61-years old. Dani was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Ace Howard and Margaret Campbell Howard. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill Howard; brother-in-laws, Bradley Moore, Jim Sluss, and Don Bechtold; sister-in-laws, Judy Howard and Sharon Johnson.

Dani was a loyal wife, devoted mother and nana.  She enjoyed playing with her 3 grandsons and as the youngest of 14 children, she loved spending time with her whole family.  She was strong in her faith, loved her Lord & Savior with all her heart, and had a humble spirit about her, always remaining positive through her sickness.

Dani Howard Baker leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: husband of 41-years, Tim Baker of Busy, KY; daughter, Katherine West & Chad of North Manchester, IN; son, Timothy Baker & Lyndsey of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Elias, Bo, and Baker; nine brothers, Darwin Howard, Don Howard, Dean Howard, Doyle Howard, Albert Howard, Gary Howard, Ace Howard Jr., Doran Howard, and Bradley Howard; three sisters, Elizabeth Moore, Sarah Lois Sluss, and Helen Bechtold; also a host of nieces, nephews, and family & friends survive.

Visitation for Dani Howard Baker will be held on Friday – September 4, 2026 at the Krypton Brethren Church from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday – September 5, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Krypton Brethren Church with Paul Sluss officiating, visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday. The Interment will follow in the Rock Lick Cemetery located at Dunraven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Lodge – 1500 College Way – Lexington, Kentucky 40502.
