Daphne Johnson born November 22, 1964 departed this life on Tuesday – October 7, 2025 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 60-years old.  Daphne was born in Leslie County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Hughey Rice and the late Ima-Jean Rice.  Other than her parents, Daphne was also preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Johnson; sister, Janice Scott.

Daphne leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: daughters, Angie Johnson & Junior, Daphne Potter and R.G., and Helen Johnson; grandchildren, Raelynn Johnson, Skyler Johnson, Benjamin Johnson. Severus Johnson, and Chapter Potter; former husband and father of children Jimmy Johnson;  special friend, Gail Bentley; and a host of great grandchildren survive.

Visitation for Daphne Johnson will be on Sunday – October 12, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held on Sunday – October 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Jack Carter officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery located at Browns Fork, Kentucky.
