David Jack Epperson born March 21, 1979 departed this life on Monday – November 17, 2025 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky being 46-years old.  David was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Jack Epperson and Pattie Smith.  David was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, David & Jeanne Patterson; Grandparents, Johnny Smith, Maxine Fagues and Homer Fagues; Paternal Grandparents, Ebb & Mildred Epperson; Infant Nephew, Lincoln Williams.  David loved working on boats & fishing, he was an extremely talented Boat Mechanic.  David was a member of the Avawam Fire Department serving faithfully for over 25 years.

David Jack Epperson leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Mother, Pattie Smith & Frank of Hazard, KY; Father, Jack Epperson of London, KY; Brother, Sean Williams & Tiffany of Hazard, KY; Sisters, P.J. Amburgey of Hazard, Melonie Williams & Gene of Hazard, and Aerabella Smith of Hazard; Aunts, Teresa Huff & Arlis, and Debbie Greer & Dale; Uncle, Bill Epperson & Joyce; Special Brother, Leonard Tole; also a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives & friends and family of Fireman whom he loved & respected survive.

Visitation for David Jack Epperson will be held on Friday – November 21, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday – November 22, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Anthony Mullins, Teddy Bailey, and Chris Sale officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Community Cemetery located at Little Leatherwood, Kentucky.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Avawam Fire Department at 3680 Ky Hwy 80 – Hazard, Kentucky 41701.
