Doris Hope Shuffler born February 15, 1949 departed this life on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the Hazard A.R.H. Advance Care being 74-years old.  Doris was born in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Roscoe Huffman and the late Virginia Rubel Huffman.  Other than her parents, Doris was also preceded in death by five brothers, Junior Huffman, Roy Huffman, Donnie Huffman, John Huffman, and Mike Huffman; two sisters, Dorothy Age and Joan Shelton.

Doris by occupation had been an Adult Education Instructor, helping folks attain their G.E.D.  Doris had an unwavering love for her family and grandchildren, her family was her life as she supported them unconditionally in all their endeavors.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Hazard A.R.H. Advance Care for the compassion and care they gave Doris during her illness.

Doris Hope Shuffler leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Husband of 54-years, Tom Shuffler of Hallie, KY; Daughter, Mischelle Griffie & Kevin of Cornettsville, KY; Son, Josh Shuffler of Hallie, KY; Granddaughters, Megan Griffie-Spencer of Corbin and Lexi Griffie of Corbin; Great-Grandson, Sawyer Spencer of Corbin; Brother, Ronnie Huffman & Carol of Louisville, KY; Sisters, Betsey Jones of Mt. Washington, KY, Martha Longworth & Lonnie of Goshen, KY and Pam Nuzum & Jim of Waterloo, Indiana; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Doris Hope Shuffler will be held on Monday January 15, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday January 16, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home.  Entombment will follow in the Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Hazard, Kentucky.
