Doris Faye "Tweets" Smith born November 16, 1955, departed this life on Thursday -  April 9, 2026 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center being 70-years old.  Doris was born in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Adam Fugate and the late Annie Combs Fugate.  Other than her parents, Doris was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lee Fugate, and Johnny Fugate.

Doris had a great work ethic, she had worked and retired from Crossroad Farms Dairy.  Doris enjoyed going camping, traveling to Gatlinburg and spending time with her family.  Doris was more than a rose who loved all her family.  Her love will never be forgotten and our memories with Doris will always be in our Heart.

Doris Faye "Tweets" Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: husband of 50-years, Lawrence Smith of Indianapolis, IN; son, Lawrence Jr.  Smith & Lori of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren: Alicia Taylor, Logan Taylor,, Isaac Collins, Michaela Collins, and Ahnna Smith; great grandchildren: Kaiden Taylor, Grayson Taylor, Waylon Taylor, Myles Collins, and Ms. Addalyn Taylor on the way; brother, Adam Fugate; sister, Brenda Stidham; nephew, Patrick Fugate; also a host of many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Doris Faye "Tweets" Smith will be conducted on Sunday – April 12, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Troy Smith officiating.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday April 12, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M.
