Obituary

Douglas Haig Deaton born January 8,1931 departed this life on Monday May 16,2022 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 91-years old. Douglas was born at Bowlingtown, Kentucky the son of the late Jerry Deaton and the late Rachel Begley Deaton. Other than his parents, Douglas was also preceded in death by his Wife, Jewell Fugate; Brothers, Luke Deaton, Paul Deaton, and J.E. Deaton; Sisters, Mary Elizabeth Deaton, and Anita Ruth Barger. Douglas attended the Coneva Church of God, loved Bluegrass Music, Cincinnati Reds Baseball, and his Grandbabies.

Douglas Haig Deaton leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Two Daughters, Rachel Turner & Michael of Chavies, Janet Baker & Densil of Hager Hill, KY; Brother, Silas Deaton & Linda of Columbus, IN; Sister, Grace White of MI; Grandchildren, Amanda Campbell & Brandon, Landon Baker, Elizabeth Baker, Jon Johnson, Matthew Turner, Jacob Johnson, and Autumn Turner; Five Great-Grandchildren. A host of other Relatives and Friends survive.

Funeral Services for Douglas Haig Deaton will be conducted on Saturday May 21,2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Paul Wegner and A.J. Miller officiating. The Interment will follow in the Ivy Point Cemetery located at Ned, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M
