Edith Hill born February 6, 1935 departed this life on Sunday May 19, 2024 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 87-years old. Edith was born in Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of the late Boyd Miller and the late Orpha Colwell. Other than her parents, Edith was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Westerfield; son, Mitchell Hill; sisters, Nora Colwell and Ruby Colwell; brothers, Carl Miller, Elmer Miller and Dewey Miller. Edith loved life, was an avid reader, always lived in the moment and had a desire to help others.

Edith Hill leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: sons, Amos Noble & Sherrian of Hazard, Jimmy Westerfield, Jr. of Hazard; daughters, Sue Bowling & Tony of Hazard, Joan Westerfield of Hazard; daughter-in-law, Angie Hill of Hazard; brother, Thurman Miller & Bonnie of Seymour, IN; sisters, Lana Jo Stephens of Georgetown, KY, Wanda Neace of Hazard; Nine Grandchildren, Eight Great-Grandchildren, One Great-Great Grandchild. A host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Edith Hill will be held on Thursday May 23, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will follow on Thursday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. with B.J. Campbell officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Hazard, Kentucky.
