Edna Mae Lewis born September 27, 1945 departed this life on Saturday January 18, 2025 at her residence in Avawam, Kentucky being 79 years old. Edna was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Lawrence Fugate and the late Nancy Hughes Fugate. Other than her parents, Edna was also preceded in death by brothers, Earl Fugate, Teddy Fugate, Charles Fugate, James Fugate and Rufus Fugate; sisters, Cliffie Fugate and Emma Lou Fugate.

Edna Mae Lewis leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: daughters, Linda Vaughn & Jim Mike of Avawam, Melinda Sue Fugate & Allen of Blackey, KY; brothers, Donnie Fugate of Grapevine, KY, Boyd Fugate of Avawam, KY; sisters, Lillie Mae Hall of Avawam, Eliza Moncrief of Richmond, KY, Ernestine Davis of S.C.; grandchildren, Ashton Blake Fugate and Reece Fugate. A host of other relatives and friends surviving.

Visitation for Edna Mae Lewis will be held on Wednesday January 22, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Allen M. Fugate officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Whitaker-Hughes Cemetery at Clear Fork, Kentucky
