Edward Collins

Edward Collins born January 23, 1935 departed this life on Wednesday – August 12, 2026 at his residence in Hyden, Kentucky being 91-years old. Ed was born in Perry County, Kentucky the son of the late Estill Collins and the late Amanda Bush Collins. Other than his parents, Ed was also preceded in death by his loving & devoted wife, Bernice Collins; son-in-law, James Glenn Sizemore; grandson-in-law, Eric Boggs; five brothers & five sisters. Edward was retired from Wiser Oil Company, and formerly worked as a coal miner and auto mechanic. Ed was a member of the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church of God, where he loved singing and playing his guitar. Ed enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, sharing stories form his younger days, woodworking and spending time with his family.

Edward Collins leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: children, Ronald Collins & Linda of Middletown, OH, Debbie Sizemore of Hyden, KY, Vickie Mosley & James of Asher, KY and Carol Scott & Darryl of Dover, Delaware; 11-grandchildren, Shane Collins & Brandi, Melissa Horton & Todd, Tony Collins & Michelle, Keith Sizemore & Leeanna, Mitch Sizemore & Londa, Jessica Combs & Jonathan, Catrina Boggs, Brittany Brock & Timmy, Mason Scott, Devin Scott, and Ryan Fee; 25-great grandchildren; 5-great great grandchildren; also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Edward Collins will be conducted on Saturday – August 15, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church of God with Eugene “Friday” Roberts, Logan Wayne Bowling, James Mosley, Jonathan Combs, and Tim Finley officiating. The Interment will follow in the Couch’s Fork Cemetery located at Bear Branch, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church of God on Friday evening after 5:00 P.M. The following will serve as pallbearers: Keith Sizemore, Mitch Sizemore, Josh Roberts, Trey Davis, Patrick Blair, Wesley Slone, T.J. Collins, Peyton Combs, and Landan Brock; Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Collins, Tony Colllins, Mason Scott, Devin Scott, and Ryan Fee.
