Edward Deaton born April 26, 1943 departed this life on Tuesday January 9, 2024 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 80-years old. Edward was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Johnnie Deaton and the late Mimmi Smith Deaton. Other than his parents, Edward was also preceded in death by his Wife, Edna Lou Deaton; Three Brothers, Jr. Deaton, Bill Deaton, and Bud Deaton; Three Sisters, Bessie Moore, Oma Jean Johnson, and Thelma Gilbert. Edward enjoyed listening to Bluegrass Music.

Edward Deaton leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Two Sons, Edward Dwayne Deaton of Buckhorn, Daniel Keith Deaton of Buckhorn; Two Sisters, Edna Wells of Hazard, Charlene Amis of Franklin, OH; Grandchildren, Cameron Dwayne Deaton, Keenan Grigsby Deaton; Special Friends, Leon Smith and Chester Smith. A host of other relatives & Friends survive.

Visitation for Edward Deaton will be conducted on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the Johnson United Methodist Church at Buckhorn, Kentucky from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. Funeral Services will follow on Saturday at the Johnson United Baptist Church with Gary Riley and Chris Turner officiating.. The Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery located at Buckhorn, Kentucky.
