Edward Johnson born November 18, 1934 formerly of Busy departed this life on Friday September 13, 2024 at his residence in London, Kentucky being 89-years old. Ed was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Bill Johnson and the late Sarah Baker Johnson. Other than his parents, Ed was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Johnson and a host of brothers and sisters. Ed was a Life-Long Member of the Church Christ, Korean Veteran having served in the United States Army, retired from Perry County Schools as a Custodian at Willard Elementary and enjoyed fishing, gardening and being outdoors. Ed deeply loved his children and grandchildren.

Edward Johnson leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: son, George E. Johnson & Vickie of Hazard; daughter, Geraldine Colwell & Charles of London, KY; Fur Baby, Romeo; grandchildren, Michelle Stamper & Jerry, Heather Taylor & Travis, Tori Flannery & Josh, Chelsea Shields & Cody, Josh Johnson & Whitney, Jennifer Burcham & Will; great-grandchildren, Courtney Noble & Kenton, Lee Stamper, Jase Stamper, Ashton Noyes, Alexis Noyes, Landon Taylor, Haylee Taylor, Axel Taylor, Jaiden Flannery, Avery Flannery, Rosie Shields, Wyatt Shields, Elijah Shields, Storie Johnson, Orion Johnson, Bentley Burcham; 2 great-great grandchildren, Mara and Myla Noble. A host of nieces, nephews and friends survive.

Graveside Services for Edward Johnson will be conducted on Monday September 16, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Family Cemetery in the head of Snatch Creek at Busy, Kentucky with Mark Tabata officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kentucky River Animal Shelter 194 Animal Shelter Ln, Hazard, KY 41701.
