Elizabeth (Lib) Ann Smith born November 28, 1961 departed this life on Thursday September 1, 2022 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 60-years old. Elizabeth was an Avid Nascar Fan, especially #3 Dale Earnhardt. Elizabeth was born at Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of Juanita Ritchie and the late Alvin Ritchie. Other than her Father, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her Loving Husband, Cleveland Monroe Smith; Son, Derek Monroe Smith; Special Mother, Mamie Jent; Special Father, Melvin Jent; Aunts, Myrtle Noble, Maxine Eversole, and Faye Strunk; One Brother, Junior Jent; One Sister, Debra (Debbie) Renee Jent; Sister-in-Law, Yvonne Hall; her Special Life Companion, Peekaboo.
Elizabeth "Lib" Ann Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Mother, Juanita Ritchie; Two Brothers, Ronnie Hall and Ricky Lynn Jent; One Sister, Darlene Bush & Doug; Special Sisters, Donna Combs and Rutha Grigsby. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Lib spent her life as a Wife, Mother, and Caregiver. In her 60 years of life, she was known to love her family and friends, her dog Peekaboo and Dale Earnhardt. Lib always had a smile on her face and love in her heart, she never met a stranger and always had something nice or funny to say. She will always be remembered by her family and friends as the fun one, there never was a dull moment when she was around because she was always cutting up and making you laugh, even at the smallest of things. No matter the destination, she was always down for a road trip.
Funeral Services for Elizabeth "Lib" Ann Smith will be conducted on Monday September 5, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home. with Pastor Densmore Goodson officiating. The Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery located at Lotts Creek, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M.
