Ella Mae Smith born October 16, 1934 went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 23, 2022 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard being 88-years old. Ella was born at Wooton, Kentucky the daughter of the late Malcomb Baker and the late Mary Young Baker. Other than her parents, Ella was also preceded in death by her Husband, Thomas Jake Smith; Two Sons, Kenny Curtis Smith and Larry Michael Smith; Three Brothers, James Baker, Jerry Baker, and Billy Ray Baker. Ella loved her family, going to church, her flowers, and cooking.

Ella Mae Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Son, Les Smith & Jennifer of Hazard; Four Brothers, Don Baker & Joan of OH, Malcomb, Jr. Baker & Bobbie of Breathitt Co., KY, Eugene Baker & Melanie of Wendover, KY, Russell Baker of Wooton, KY; Sister: Betty Hoskins & Henry of Wooton, KY; Six Grandchildren, Kenny Smith, Jr. of IN, Mary Smith Guffey of IN, Thomas Glenn Smith of Bowling Green, KY, Mike Barlowe of Lexington, KY, Bobby Snell of Hazard, Sara Smith of Hazard; A host of Great-Grandchildren, and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Ella Mae Smith will be conducted on Sunday November 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Tim Stacy officiating. The Interment will follow in the Jake Smith Cemetery located at Ary, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M.
