Elmer Begley born April 27, 1939 went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday August 6, 2023 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard being 84-years old. Elmer was born in Wooton, Kentucky the son of the late Noah Begley and the late Cora Cornett Begley. Other than his Parents, Elmer was also preceded in death by his Sisters, Ruth Hunt, Opal Fields, Geraldine Elrod, and Ruby McNew; Brother, Raymond Begley. Elmer was a Member of the Smilax Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ and was an Avid Fox Hunter and Gardener. Elmer Retired from Whitaker Coal Company in 1994.

Elmer Begley leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife of 57-years, Faye Wells Begley of Wooton, KY; Son, James Begley of Lexington, KY; One Brother, Rex Begley & Coleen of OH. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Elmer Begley will be conducted on Thursday August 10, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Billy Joe Lewis officiating. The Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery located in Jeff, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.
