Obituary

Ernest Randall Chad Alexander born October 12, 1972 went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard being 50-years old.  Chad was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Margaret Napier Alexander and the late Paul Ray Alexander. Other than his father, Ernest was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hadward & Francis Napier; paternal grandparents, Roger & Josephine Alexander. Chad was a Member of the Smithsboro Baptist Church where he served as Youth Director and Bus Driver, and was always willing to be a servant for the Lord and his Church.  Chad loved the outdoors, hunting & fishing, and was a devoted family man, and loved serving others in his community.

Chad Alexander leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 25 years, Tracy Alexander of Vicco; sons, Dustin Alexander and Nick Alexander both of Vicco; mother, Margaret Alexander of Christopher; brother, Scott Alexander of Hazard; sisters, Paula Jackson & Russell of Christopher and Donna Alexander of Christopher; mother-in-law, Teresa Martin of Vicco; father-in-law, Clarence Martin & Teresa of Maryville, TN; brother-in-laws, Jamie Martin & Devan of Pikeville, Corey Martin of Hazard, and Justin Blankenship of Hazard; also a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Chad's last words to his family and friends would be that you don't put things off, enjoy the simple things & make memories with your family and to always trust in the Lord.

Funeral Services for Chad Alexander will be conducted on Saturday October 14, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at the Smithsboro Baptist Church located at Sassafras, Kentucky with Dylan Combs & Chris Fugate officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Francis Branch Cemetery located at Jeff, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Smithsboro Baptist Church on Friday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center at 57 Dennis Sandlin MD Cove – Hazard, Kentucky 41701 or Smithsboro Baptist Church at 4700 Smithsboro Road – Sassafras, Kentucky 41759.
