Evie Jean Johnson born May 27, 1952 departed this life on Friday November 11, 2022 at her residence in Viper, Kentucky being 70-years old. Evie was born at Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Nathaniel Adams and the late Edna Faye Smith. Other than her parents, Evie was also preceded in death by her Brothers, Johnny Adams, Jerry Adams, and Jody Adams; Sister, Kathleen Branson. Evie was a loving Wife, Mother,  Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, and loved to babysit.

Evie Jean Johnson leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Husband of 52-years, Johnny Johnson of Viper; Son, John David Johnson & Wanda of Viper; Two Daughters, Carla Johnson of Clay City, KY, Beulah Raichel & Gary of Knott Co., KY; Brother, Rocky Adams of Hardburly, KY; Half-Sister, Anna Mae. Four Grandchildren, Trevor, Morgan, Mason, and Kylee; Two Great-Grandchildren, Zayla and Brody John.  A host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Evie Jean Johnson will be conducted on Sunday November 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. James Hamblin officiating. The Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery located at Viper, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M.
