Fannie Ruth
Caldwell
Oct 4, 1945 — Jan 3, 2026
With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Fannie Ruth Caldwell.
Fannie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God, who went home to be with the Lord on Saturday – January 3, 2026 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 80-years old. Fannie was a lifelong resident of Hazard, KY and was a woman whose faith, kindness, and unwavering love touched all who knew her.
She was a member of Potters House Ministry and a devout Christian who lived her faith daily, not just in words but through her actions. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she spent her life putting the needs of family, friends, and even strangers before her own. She truly never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with a warm smile, a listening ear, and a heart of gold.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in this world, and they were the center of her life. Fannie spent the last decade making memories with her sisters, Mary and Irene, they were referred to as "The Golden Girls". She found her purpose in nurturing, encouraging, and praying over those she loved, leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and selflessness that will continue for generations.
She was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, and her gentle spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is now free from pain, at peace, and reunited with loved ones.
Fannie Ruth Caldwell leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Sons: Michael Caldwell & Sondra and Jordan Caldwell & Mikala both of Hazard; Daughter: Kaitlyn Hayes & Randy of Georgetown; Granddaughters: Brooke Fugate & Craig, Ali Caldwell, Haley Caldwell both of Hazard, and Lexi Caldwell of Jackson; Great-Grandchildren: Wyatt, Liam, Lennix, Adilyn, Lainey, Coplin and the soon arrival of Bowden James Hayes; Special Sister and Caregiver: Mary Miller; Brother: Paul Sebastian & Norma and a host of special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive.
