Freddie Richard Sandlin born July 7, 1952 departed this life on Saturday – January 10, 2026 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 73-years old.  Freddie was born in Breathitt County the son of the late Charlie & Mattie Sandlin.  Other than his parents, Freddie was also preceded in death by Three Brothers & Three Sisters.  Freddie worked for Pine Branch Coal Company for 41-years as a Heavy Equipment Operator & Night Shift Foreman.  Freddie enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, but the most important thing in his life was his family, and his grandchildren was his pride & joy.

Freddie Sandlin leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife of 51-plus years: Sarah Sandlin of Gays Creek, KY; Daughters: Rosa Lee Pollard of Buckhorn, KY and Felicia Turner & Neil of Bronston, KY; Grandchildren: Ryan Jay Turner and Raegan Pollard; also a host of other relatives & many friends survive.

Visitation for Freddie Sandlin will be held on Tuesday – January 13, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.   Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. with David Spicer & Suzette Spicer-Miller officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Sandlin Cemetery located at Gays Creek, Kentucky.  The following will serve as pallbearers: Neil Turner, Ryan Jay Turner, Clint Davidson, Terry Davidson, Michael Davidson, and Kevin Davidson.
