Gevetta Sumner born June 12, 1942 departed this life on Sunday May 5, 2024 at the Whitesburg A.R.H. being 81-years old.  Gevetta was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Roy Combs and the late Goldie Mae Combs.  Other than her parents, Gevetta was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Sumner; sons, Tim Fugate and Anthony Fugate.

Gevetta Sumner leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: daughters, Connie Isaac of Vicco and Rose Taylor of Virginia; grandchildren, Brittany Sizemore, Natasha Nicole Hurley, Brady Feltner, and Erica Slone; great-grandchildren, Ryder Feltner, Kaitlin Slone, Destiney Slone, and Kitana Slone; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Per Gevetta's request, there will be no services held.
