Gladys Langdon born June 20, 1928 departed this life on Wednesday – June 10, 2026 in Hazard, Kentucky being 97 years old.  Gladys was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky the daughter of the late William Stroughter Merrill and the late Lula Strange Merrill.  Other than her parents, Gladys was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Langdon; granddaughter, Karleigh Miniard;  13 Brothers & Sisters.  Gladys was a member of the Krypton Brethren Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #578 at Krypton, and enjoyed quilting.  Gladys was truly blessed with a long life here on this earth and will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her.

Gladys Langdon leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: daughter, Brenda Rouse & John of Burnside, KY; sons, Jeffery Scott Langdon of Krypton, KY and Glenn Langdon & Lillie of Lotts Creek, KY; seven grandchildren: Leslie Renee Deaton, John Chadwick Rouse, Anthony Langdon, Stephen Langdon, Sarah, Terry, Chelsea Langdon, and Kenaly Langdon; 15 Great-Grandchildren; Special Nieces & Nephew, Sandra & Leslie Merrill, Audrey Baker, and Susan Grimm; special neighbor, David Woods; also a host of many other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Gladys Langdon will be conducted on Saturday – June 13, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Krypton Brethren Church at 118 Brook Drive – Krypton, Kentucky  with Brian Bridges and A.J. Miller officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Langdon Family Cemetery located at Krypton, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Krypton Brethren Church from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.
