Harold Gene Newsome born December 7, 1937 departed this life on Sunday – August 17, 2025 at his residence in Cornettsville, Kentucky being 87-years old.  Harold was born in Pike County, Kentucky and was the son of the late AB Newsome and the late Hannah Newsome, other than his parents Harold was also preceded in death by his son; Tommy Newsome; daughter, Connie Newsome; and a host of brothers and sisters.

Harold Newsome leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife, Burnell Newsome; daughter, Patricia Gail Wilson; sister, Brenda Newsome; grandchildren, Jonathan Newsome & Marcie, Joshua Wooton, Chenoa Wooton, Skye Newsome; great grandchildren, Davin, Aydan, Iris, Noah, and Jordan.

Visitation for Harold Newsome will be held on Thursday – August 21, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the Big Leatherwood Old Regular Baptist Church at the mouth of Little Leatherwood.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday- August 22, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Big Leatherwood Old Regular Baptist Church with Danny Dixon officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Little Leatherwood Community Cemetery, Cornettsville, Kentucky.
