Helen Faye Westerfield born November 3, 1940, departed this life on Sunday – December 21, 2025, at The Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY, being 85 years old.  Helen was born in Williams Branch-Ary, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charlie Crawford and the late Mallie Crawford. Other than her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her husband, Emery Westerfield; son, Mark Anthony Westerfield; and a host of brother and sisters.

Helen was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church, and the Avawam Fire Department. Helen loved to cook for her family and friends.

Helen leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: sons, Jimmy Westerfield & Shirley, David Westerfield; daughters, Kathy Hurt & Earl, Lisa Caudill & Jimmy Dale; daughter-in-law, Sheilia Westerfield; sister-in-law, Marinda Westerfield; grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Caudill, Justin Westerfield, Marlena Westerfield, and Zachary Westerfield.  Also, a host of cherished friends at Big Creek Baptist Church.

Visitation for Helen Westerfield will be held on Saturday – December 27, 2025, at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held on December 28, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle -Bowling Funeral Home with Jerry Bailey officiating.  The interment will follow at the Haven Hill Cemetery, in Avawam, Kentucky.
