Hildred Marie Caudill Couch

Hildred "Hick" left her earthly home to go live with her Savior Jesus Christ on April 3, 2026. She was born on October 20, 1937 in Bulan to Harrison and Dulcena Allen Caudill. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Donnie Couch. Also, her brother Bill Caudill, Gracy Lena Combs and Pamma Toler. She is survived by two daughters, Stella Anita Napier (Glenn) and Tammie Farler. She has three grandchildren, Glenn Paul Napier II (Rebecca), Audra Leigh Napier and Thomas King (Megan). She has two great grandchildren, Madelyn Grace Napier and Jack Lucas Napier. She leaves behind a Special niece, Edna "Sissy" Eldridge who lovingly care for her during her short illness. She also leaves many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Hildred was blessed with a bonus daughter Donna Kay Napier (Jim) and their two children whom also survive.

Services will be Wednesday, April 8 at Engle Bowling Funeral Home Chapel. 11am until 1pm. The funeral will be conducted by Sam Stacy at 1pm. Burial will be in the Couch cemetery at 47 Alfred Lane, Hazard.

Hildred was known by her friends as Hick. She was a cook at the family restaurants The Shamrock, The Chat and Chew and Alma Napier's Dairy Bar. She retired to help raise her grandchildren. She met her soulmate Donnie in 1974. They lived a wonderful life together and the girls had a great bonus Dad. We know both of them are sitting at the feet of Jesus Christ now.
