Hubert Smith born October 6, 1951, departed this life on Saturday – April 25, 2026, at the Hazard A.R.H. being 74-years old.  Hubert was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Troy Smith and the late Ada Stidham Smith.  Other than his parents, Hubert was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Doris Smith and brother-in-law, Ken Munson.  Hubert was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed being in the woods, deer and turkey hunting, riding his ATV and fishing.  Above all, he loved his Little Man and Little Man, Jr.

Hubert Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: daughter, Catina Bird & Marc of Richmond, KY; grandson, Kage Baker & Haley of Hanover, Maryland; great-grandson, Oaklee Kreed Baker; brothers, Donald Ray Smith & Janet of Hazard, Lawrence Smith of Indianapolis, IN and Troy Smith, Jr. & Harriet of Hazard; sisters, Brenda Fields & Jimmy of Hazard, Charlene Smith of Indianapolis, IN and Michelle Munson of Murrysville, PA; also a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Hubert Smith will be conducted on Tuesday – April 28, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Ronnie Wells officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Tenmile Cemetery.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kentucky River Longbeards NWTF Chapter at 8891 North Kentucky Hwy 15 – Hazard, Kentucky 41701.
