Ira Southwood born August 31, 1964 departed this life on Thursday October 20, 2022 at Ermine, Kentucky being 58-years old. Ira was born at Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late McCager Southwood and the late Virginia Lee Southwood. Other than his parents, Ira was also preceded in death by his Brother, Ronnie Southwood; Three Nephews, Ricky Porter, Timothy Porter, and Jaden Miller; Niece, Rebecca Porter. Ira loved training horses, showing and riding them.

Ira Southwood leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Daughter, Kirstie Southwood & Tanner of Morristown, TN; Grandson, Cager Wayne Maggard of Morristown, TN; Two Sisters, Edna Brown & Paul of Scottsburg, IN, Sarah Murray & Darrell of Happy; Two Brothers, Mack Southwood & Cindy of Big Creek, Jimmy Southwood of Breathitt County. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Ira Southwood will be conducted on Monday October 24, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Bo Kilburn and James Lucas officiating. The Interment will follow in the Combs Cemetery located at Combs, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M.
