Irene Sexton born June 1, 1957 departed this life on Monday June 12, 2023 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center being 66-years old.  Irene was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Delbert Johnson and the late Beulah Farler Johnson.  Other than her parents, Irene was also preceded in death by her Sister, Bonnie Farler; Brothers, Tim Johnson and Ron Johnson; Niece, Shannon Rae Caudill.  Irene loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Irene Sexton leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Husband of 42 plus years, Jerry Sexton of Hazard, KY; Daughter, Darnell Nantz & Daniel of Garner, North Carolina; Sister, Connie Caudill & Darrell of Viper, KY; Three Brothers, John Johnson of Viper, Jimmy Johnson & Judy of Viper, and Lonnie Johnson & Nancy of Viper; Grandchildren, Garrett, Maddox, and Lilly; Sister-In-Laws, Connie, Abigail, and Delilah; also a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

A Celebration of Life Service for Irene Sexton will be conducted on Thursday June 15, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home.
